Spinal Alignment is easy to view on x-ray as well as a detailed postural analysis.  We look at both x-ray and a digital posture analysis and combine them to get the best possible picture of each patient.  If we observe near normal alignment, then corrective care is obviously not necessary.  If we notice a misalignment, a tailored program is designed to correct the problem will likely be recommended.  We then re-measure posture and x-ray after a course of care  to determine progress and change.

If your chiropractor's goal is to change the alignment of your spine, a before and after x-ray and posture analysis is essential.

We consider correcting spinal alignment an extremely important outcome as a lot of new research indicates that misalignment leads to the progressive degeneration (arthritic changes) of the discs and joints as seen in the image below.  It also leads to nerve interference and spinal cord tension often creating many symptoms beyond simply pain.

Often, no symptoms are present even with a misaligned spine.  Therefore, we recommend that at least everybody gets checked before it is too late.  If you are experiencing symptoms, either recent or ongoing, it is essential to get checked by a professional right away.
